I was most recently a senior experience designer at OpenTable where I worked with project managers, developers, and designers to create a new product for the casual dining market that allowed diners to join a waitlist via the OpenTable app.
Prior to OpenTable I was a designer at MailChimp in Atlanta, GA for five years. There, I collaborated with researchers, designers, developers, and writers to fix complex problems with simple design solutions.
In 2014, my work received a Good Design Award for the Digital and Online Category, the Net Award for Redesign of the Year, and four Webby nominations. I am also cited as an inventor of "Methods and Systems for Finding Connections Among Subscribers to an Email Campaign," U.S. Patent 14/17,327.
Before MailChimp I designed websites, promotional materials, environmental graphics, identity and branding systems, and publications for a broad range of clients including EPB; Chattanooga History Center; Covenant College; Designweave, a division of Shaw Industries; J&J/Invision; Plantronics; redbox; rock/creek; and Smart Furniture.
My work has been published in Smashing Magazine, Pattern Tap, Fold:The Reader, and the MailChimp UX Newsletter.
I hold a BFA in graphic design from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
